During Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, we held an 8-week version of the Cultural Identity Project at UAA in partnership with Native Student Services. We had 44 Alaska Native undergraduate students participate in the program! Some took it for course credit and others joined without registering for credit. Due to COVID-19, we held the program on Zoom. The Elders who developed the original program facilitated it - Jim, Susan, Sonia, Dooner, and Larry. We are so thankful to you! Tiera coordinated things, Shamai support students on the ePortfolio, Paula provided additional student support, and Sara managed everything behind the scenes! The program was so well-received and impactful that it is now being developed into its own stand-alone course through Native Student Services! It will become available in Spring 2023 for Native Early Transitions students. Stay tuned!
